About
Rob is a Digital Imaging Technician and Dailies Colourist running a self-contained near-set mobile lab. He delivers data and colour workflow management, dailies creation and DOP support across Alexa 35 and Sony Venice pipelines, with Starlink-enabled same-day delivery to editorial. Credits span the BBC, ITV, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, Channel 4 / Showtime and HBO.
His focus is on protecting the DOP's vision from on-set capture through to post: a secure, streamlined data and colour pipeline with consistent dailies and a clean handover to editorial and finishing. The role sits between camera and post, and he treats it that way: a collaborator for the DOP on look development and a clean, well-documented handover for the editorial and finishing teams.
The lab is independent. Power, network, monitoring and lab redundancy all live on board, so production gets near-set autonomy without a post-house tether. Same-day rushes are the default. LUTs and CDLs travel with the show. The DOP has a colourist on call, in the car park, for the run of the job.
